To study effectively for the bar exam, you need to eliminate distractions. Focus is key. Clear out your study space. Assemble your materials. Put a message on your telephone answering device that says you will return calls after February 28 or July 30. Add an autoresponder to your email account that says you will
answer emails after that date. Arrange for at least eight weeks off from work. Get all your ducks in a row. Be ready to pass the bar exam.
Remind your family that your becoming a lawyer will make them happy, too. You simply cannot study according to schedule if you are responding to the demands of your children, your parents, or your spouse. One successful student told her husband to go home to his mother for two months, because she was going to pass the bar exam. Another student sent his young child back to his home country to stay with the grandparents. Take whatever action you must, but clear the decks for passing the bar exam.
Best of success!
