JUMP RIGHT IN! So you have decided to take the bar exam, and I hope Dr. Gallagher is your preparer. Bar preparation requires your full attention. Do whatever is necessary in your life to be fully available for this process. Take a leave of absence from work. Talk to your family, boy/girlfriend, friends, pet, etc., and explain that you love them but that you need every waking hour, well, maybe not every waking hour
but most of them, to be focused on studying for this exam. You can promise to make it up to them later. Gently explain that you do not want, and neither do they, to go through this process again. I mean this very seriously. I have heard many legitimate reasons . . . I have to work, I started a new job, my children/husband need me. I know it is difficult, I have a husband. I had to take time off from work.
Find a creative way to clear your schedule for this study process, because this is the last leg of the legal marathon you have been running. You have already put so much time and effort into this career, why sabotage the final outcome. You have a choice. Half measures for the exam will give you a half-measured score, and full measures will give you a much better chance of passing the exam. You have six weeks! Clear a path to the finish line to pass the bar.
